Add colour to your home with the lovely Azalea

In the cold and grey winter season people are looking for warm colours in their homes. Did you know that Azalea can fulfil this need? The Azalea is a rich blooming potted plant which is available in all shades of red, pink, white and combinations of these. The contrast of the colourful flowers with the shiny and dark green leaves makes it a true eyecatcher in your home. The red and pink Azalea have a name to be a bit old fashioned, but in a nice cover pot or in combination with a white or pink Phalaenopsis it becomes a modern piece of art.

If you take care of them well, Azalea’s will bloom for weeks. Caring for an Azalea is not hard. The one thing that you should keep in mind is that the Azaleas like having a lot of water available without having its roots in the water. Watering systems like the Aqua Pad or Aquastick can help with this greatly. Azaleas are moderately sensitive to ethylene, so avoid placing ripening fruit next to the plant. To keep up the ornamental value you can remove regularly wilted flowers, but above all: enjoy!
