Mount Kenya Project
The Mount Kenya Groundwater Project in Kenya is a response to the severe threat to water resources in Laikipia District, home to 14 flower farms. In 2009, the important Ewaso Nyiro River dried up for the first time in recorded history, boreholes also dried up and there was an outbreak of cholera. All this led to the loss of human life and wildlife.
The aim with this projects is to restore perennial water flows, raise awareness and facilitate the governmental bodies.
